Greetings to all at the Boston Lykeion Ellinidon, My name is Maria Contopoulos and I am from Australia. I have been dancing for 12 years with St. John's Greek Dance Group. I am interested in the way in which your dance school operates as judging from your description, we too at St John's are an informal greek dance group who unfortunately only have dance practise once a week. We have established a relationship and are all brothers and sisters in the way of dance. We strongly believe in comreadery and are to trying to keep the greek spirit alive here in Australia as second and third generation greeks. We truly believe that music and dance is the universal language and I live my life by the famous quote "A man who cannot dance is uneducated and unrefined"- Plato. It is fantastic to know that even though we all live on different sides of the world, we are all passionate about a same common interest.
