The Boston Early Music Festival presents: The Greek Byzantine Choir directed by Lycourgos Angelopoulos Byzantine Chant Traditions For nearly 20 years, Lycourgos Angelopoulos has been unearthing the mystical chants of the Byzantine empire’s written and oral traditions and bringing them to life for today’s audiences. The singers of this extraordinary choir offer an intoxicating mix of Medieval hymns and psalms for what promises to be another magical evening at one of Boston’s most exceptional Greek cathedrals.
