Ionian Islands

The Islands of the Ionian Sea are situated to the west of Greece. The are often referred to as the Eptanisa (gr: Επτάνησα) meaning "Seven Islands". The islands include Kerkyra - Corfu, Ithaki, Zakinthos, Kefalonia and Lefkada.

Corfu or Kerkyra (gr: Κέρκυρα) is the northern-most island in the Ionian Islands chain. These are in the Ionian Sea between Greece and Italy.
